RENTALSPROOF TERMS AND CONDITIONS Published: October 5, 2026 Version: 2026-10-05.1 Applies to new agreements after presentation for acceptance; no retroactive changes to paid orders. These Terms and Conditions explain the services you purchase, your responsibilities, our delivery and refund commitments, and important limits. Read them before creating an account or placing an order. The short overview on this page does not replace the full terms below. 1. Who we are RentalsProof is operated by Nawfal Mrani, an individual conducting business under the RentalsProof name ("RentalsProof," "we," "us" or "our"). These Terms cover rentalsproof.com, its account features, rental-review reports, and related service communications (the "Service"). Business contact address: 11268 Vista Sorrento Parkway, San Diego, CA 92130, United States. Customer support and legal correspondence: admin@rentalsproof.com. You may request these business contact details by email at no charge. RentalsProof is an informational review service, not a rental marketplace, property manager, real-estate broker, law firm or party to your rental transaction. We do not receive deposits, rent or application fees on behalf of an advertiser. 2. Agreement and eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement. The Service is intended for people reviewing United States rental listings or lease materials for their own rental decisions. When we display an on-screen notice explaining that creating an account or continuing to checkout means agreeing to these Terms, taking that action signifies your agreement. You may open and save the Terms before proceeding. Merely browsing a free page does not, by itself, establish acceptance of a contract or waive any legal right. The product description, price, currency, allowance and any specific offer clearly presented for your order are part of that order. A specific written promise for an order is not withdrawn by a general disclaimer in these Terms. Mandatory legal protections take priority over inconsistent wording. This version applies to new agreements made after it is presented for acceptance. It does not retroactively change an earlier purchase or reduce an existing paid pass. Section 14 explains later changes. 3. Products and what the Service does You provide a listing link, pasted text, messages, screenshots or lease materials. Our automated software, including third-party AI processing, organizes the information provided. Human review is not included unless we expressly state otherwise for a particular service. The scope of each product is different. Quick Listing Check: a focused first review of submitted listing material, including advertised rent when found, payment wording, conflicting details, missing basics and three questions to ask. It is a shorter product than the Full Listing & Landlord Report. Full Listing & Landlord Report: a more detailed, evidence-first review of the material received, quoted rent, deposits and fees, payment wording, contradictions, matters we could not verify and questions to ask. Landlord or manager information is considered only when it appears in your submission; the product name does not mean we independently screen the advertiser. Lease Review: a structured review of submitted lease wording, including quoted money terms, dates, deadlines, rules, responsibilities, terms not clearly found and questions to clarify. It is not a legal opinion about enforceability, compliance or whether you should sign. 30-Day Apartment Hunting Pass: the standard pass provides up to five Full Listing & Landlord Reports per UTC calendar day for 30 consecutive days. An account is required. It does not include separate Quick Checks or Lease Reviews. Any different allowance must be clearly disclosed before purchase and cannot reduce an already-purchased entitlement. A pass begins when successful payment is confirmed and the pass is activated, not when you first use it. Its activation and expiry are shown in your account. Thirty days means 30 consecutive 24-hour periods from activation. Daily usage resets at 00:00 UTC, which may fall on a different local date. Unused daily allowance does not carry over. This is a daily limit, not a bank of 150 transferable credits. A report started before midnight UTC may use the allowance reserved when it was started. Cancelling use does not pause expiry. There is no automatic renewal. Quotes and findings are tied to the submitted material where available. Missing or unsupported information is identified as unknown or not found; the wording may differ by product. An omitted item is not proof that a fee, restriction or risk does not exist. Our reports can contain errors and require your judgment. Product availability may change for future purchases. We do not sell a product whose purchase flow is disabled. Availability changes do not remove delivery or refund commitments for orders already paid. 4. What we do not do We do not independently verify a landlord's or manager's identity, ownership, authority to rent, background or creditworthiness. We do not contact landlords, managers, brokers or listing sites as part of producing a report. We do not confirm that an address exists, that a unit is available or that an advertiser is genuine. We do not provide an independent market-rent appraisal or guarantee the accuracy, completeness or fairness of any price, fee or lease term. The Service is not legal, financial, tenant-rights, credit or background-check advice. No attorney-client, brokerage, agency or fiduciary relationship is created. Do not use it as a tenant-screening or eligibility decision service. Current Quick, Full and Lease reports do not issue a Green, Yellow or Red safety verdict or an instruction to apply or avoid a listing. Historical reports may retain earlier presentation; any such historical label remains informational, not a certification. The absence of a warning is never an approval. A report is not a finding that a property, advertiser or payment request is safe, legitimate or fraudulent. Independently verify the exact unit, advertiser, authority to collect money and written terms before paying or signing. Seek qualified advice for decisions that require it. 5. Your submissions and preliminary checks Submit only material you are authorized to share and have processed for this purpose. You retain whatever rights you already hold; third-party listing text, photographs and documents remain subject to their owners' rights. Do not submit passwords, full payment-card details, bank credentials, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive personal information. Redact unrelated information before uploading. You give us a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, host, copy, transmit and process the submitted material as needed to provide and deliver the Service, maintain the account history you use, address support issues, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We may use service providers for those purposes. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to publish your private submission as advertising. Our Privacy Policy describes data handling and retention. Do not assume immediate deletion or permanent storage. You may contact us about access or deletion; legal recordkeeping, security requirements and the rights of others may affect a request. Keep your own copies of documents and completed reports. We perform preliminary checks before offering checkout, including attempting to read a submitted link or text and checking supported upload formats. A blocked, login-only, expired or unreadable page may require pasted text or screenshots. We do not bypass logins, paywalls or access controls. Accepting an image upload means we received a supported file; it does not certify that every word is legible. Detailed screenshot transcription and analysis take place after payment or use of a pass allowance. A preliminary check is not a guarantee that a complete report can be produced. If processing later fails, the remedies in section 7 apply. A rejected submission before checkout does not create a payment. An inaccessible link is not treated as independently verified merely because you also supply text. We may refuse unlawful, unsupported, abusive or clearly irrelevant material. 6. Accounts, access and service emails Provide an email address you control and keep it accurate. Protect your password and report links, which may provide private access. Do not share an account or pass to bypass usage limits. Contact us promptly if access appears compromised. An account is required for the pass. Individual reports may be purchased as a guest when offered. Reports created while signed in are available through the applicable account; guest delivery uses secure links and the order email. A link may expire for security reasons. Contact support with your order reference for access help; we may request reasonable proof that the order is yours. Account confirmations, password resets, order information, receipts and report-delivery messages are service communications, not a blanket enrollment in marketing. Optional marketing, if offered, is handled separately. A delivery delay or spam filter does not by itself cancel a paid order; we will help restore access to a delivered report. We may reasonably restrict access to address suspected unauthorized use, fraud, serious misuse, nonpayment or security risks. When lawful and safe, we will explain the issue and give you a way to contact us about an error. An honest review, lawful complaint or good-faith payment dispute is not, by itself, grounds for retaliation. Suspension or closure does not automatically forfeit a valid refund or other nonwaivable right. If we stop providing paid access for a reason other than your material breach, we will provide the purchased service or the applicable remedy in section 7. You may stop using the Service or contact us about closing an account; download any reports you need first. 7. Payment, delivery and refunds Price and payment. The selected product, amount, currency and any applicable taxes or actual promotion are disclosed before you authorize payment. Checkout should match the offer you selected; if it does not, do not complete payment and contact us. These Terms do not authorize an undisclosed price increase. We use Stripe to process payments and do not store your full card number. Purchases are one-time, including the pass, with no automatic renewal. Delivery. Successful payment purchases the stated report or pass, not merely an attempt to produce it. We provide the agreed service or the applicable remedy below. Processing times may vary and any estimate is not a guarantee unless expressly stated as one. If delivery is delayed, we will provide an update and any refund or cancellation option required by law. Closing the browser does not cancel an order or cause a second charge. Individual-report failures. If a paid report fails, cannot be delivered, reviews the wrong submission, or has a material processing defect that prevents it from providing the purchased review, contact us. We will either correct or regenerate it without additional charge with your agreement, or refund the affected order in full. You do not have to buy a second report to remedy our processing error. Any more protective delivery or refund right under applicable law remains available. Genuine unknowns are different from failure. A report that accurately identifies information absent from your submission is a delivered review. A report that exists as a file but does not substantively review the supplied material because processing failed is not successful delivery merely because it contains an unknown-information label. Tell us which material was missed so we can investigate. Pass failures and interruptions. If a paid pass cannot be activated and no included service was provided, you may request a full refund. If a technical failure prevents an included report from completing, the reserved allowance should be released; contact us if it is not. If lost allowance cannot be restored in time, or a service interruption prevents you from receiving paid access, we will restore equivalent access with your agreement or refund the proportion of the pass price attributable to the access we could not provide. A complete failure to provide any of the purchased pass service qualifies for a full refund. An included report does not create a separate retail-price payment or refund; the affected purchase is the pass. This does not reduce statutory remedies. Changes of mind. Unless applicable law or an express offer provides otherwise, there is no general change-of-mind refund after an individual report is delivered or a pass is activated. A property becoming unavailable, disagreeing with a report question, choosing to pay an advertiser, or not using available pass allowance is not, by itself, a service failure. None of those circumstances defeats a separate valid claim about defective delivery, a duplicate charge or another legal entitlement. Duplicate or unauthorized charges. We will refund a confirmed accidental duplicate charge. Report a charge you believe is unauthorized to your payment provider promptly and contact us so we can investigate; do not wait for us if a card-provider deadline applies. Requesting help or a refund. Email admin@rentalsproof.com with your purchase email, order or receipt reference if available, payment date and a short description of the problem. Do not send a full card number, password or identity document. Refund requests are reviewed by support; this page is not an automated refund mechanism. Approved refunds are submitted promptly to the original payment method, subject to applicable legal deadlines. Your bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears. We do not charge a refund-processing fee. Your rights. Nothing here requires you to contact us before exercising a statutory billing-error, payment-dispute, chargeback or cancellation right, shortens a legal deadline, or requires you to withdraw a truthful complaint or review to obtain a remedy. Mandatory law applies where it gives you greater protection. 8. Third-party sites and changing information We do not control rental platforms, advertiser statements, linked websites or their continued availability. Their content can change or disappear. A report reflects the material processed at the time, not a continuing guarantee about that material. Purchasing a report does not include ongoing monitoring, automatic rechecks or future updates unless expressly included in the offer. You are responsible for obtaining current information before making a rental decision. Links to outside resources are not an endorsement or a representation that we are affiliated with them. Third-party restrictions or outages may affect processing, but they do not remove our express delivery and refund commitments for your paid order. Your separate dealings with a listing platform, advertiser or payment provider are also subject to the rules applicable to that relationship. 9. Acceptable use Do not use the Service for unlawful conduct, harassment, impersonation, deception, threats or exposing another person's private information. Do not present a report as proof that someone committed fraud or as a RentalsProof guarantee of safety. Do not bypass access controls, payment requirements, rate limits or pass restrictions; use compromised credentials; send malware; or disrupt the Service through unauthorized automated activity. Security testing requires our prior written authorization. Reporting a vulnerability in good faith does not authorize accessing customer data or testing production systems without permission. You may share a report for your own rental decision with a roommate, family member or professional advisor. Do not resell access, share a pass across unrelated users or relabel reports as your own certification. The protected communications described in section 10 remain permitted. 10. Intellectual property and honest reviews We or our licensors hold the applicable rights in the website software, RentalsProof branding, original presentation and original content. We do not claim ownership of third-party listing material, public facts or rights you already have in your submission. You may access, save, print and share your lawfully obtained report for your personal rental decision, including with professional advisors. Do not remove qualifications to make it misleading, use our branding to suggest an endorsement, sell the Service as your own, or republish reports as a commercial certification of a property or person. This does not restrict uses permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms prohibits or penalizes an honest review of RentalsProof, claims ownership of that review, or restricts lawful communications with payment providers, regulators, law enforcement, courts or professional advisors. You do not need our permission to make those communications or pursue lawful remedies. 11. Disclaimers and preserved commitments EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS COMMITMENTS MADE FOR YOUR PURCHASE AND WARRANTIES OR RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free automation, complete identification of every issue, or a successful rental outcome. Submitted materials and automated analysis may be incomplete or incorrect. Informational guides and reports do not replace your own verification or qualified professional advice. These disclaimers do not excuse failure to provide an expressly promised service, override section 7, or waive a mandatory consumer warranty, statutory remedy or other nonwaivable right. Where a disclaimer is prohibited, it does not apply. 12. Limitation of liability SUBJECT TO THE EXCEPTIONS BELOW AND ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. RENTALSPROOF IS NOT AN INSURER OF YOUR RENTAL TRANSACTION AND DOES NOT REIMBURSE RENT, DEPOSITS OR APPLICATION FEES SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU PURCHASED A REPORT OR LATER LOST MONEY TO AN ADVERTISER. SUBJECT TO THE SAME EXCEPTIONS, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR RELATED CLAIMS ABOUT A PAID ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT AFFECTED ORDER. FOR AN INCLUDED PASS REPORT OR A PASS-ACCESS CLAIM, THE RELEVANT AMOUNT IS THE PRICE PAID FOR THE PASS, NOT A ZERO-DOLLAR VALUE ASSIGNED TO AN INDIVIDUAL REPORT. THIS CONTRACTUAL CAP DOES NOT APPLY TO CLAIMS UNRELATED TO A PAID ORDER. No exclusion or cap in these Terms applies to our fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, a violation of law for which liability cannot be limited, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. We do not waive your nonwaivable consumer rights, available statutory remedies or a refund expressly due under section 7. These exceptions apply to both the excluded damage categories and the monetary cap. The permitted scope of these limitations depends on applicable law and the claim. They are not a statement that every loss is excluded or that every claim is capped at an order price. 13. Questions, disputes and applicable law We encourage you to contact admin@rentalsproof.com with a concern so we can try to resolve it. Informal contact is voluntary and does not create a mandatory waiting period or prevent an urgent filing, a complaint, a payment dispute or another legal remedy. Applicable law is determined under the rules that legally govern the dispute, including mandatory consumer protections. These Terms do not designate an exclusive court or location. Either party may use a court with lawful jurisdiction and proper venue, including an available small-claims court. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a waiver of jury-trial or class-action rights. Nothing shortens an applicable statutory limitation period, restricts a regulator's powers, or changes a legally required notice or procedure. 14. Changes and general terms We may revise these Terms for future use by publishing a dated version. Posting a new date alone does not automatically amend an existing agreement. Where a material change would affect an existing relationship, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain acceptance when legally required. We will not retroactively reduce an already-paid order or pass entitlement, except where required by law. The version accepted for an order and its disclosed product terms govern that order. You may save the text copy linked on this page and request an earlier version from support. A revised policy does not erase rights that accrued under an earlier agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, it is ineffective to the extent required by law and the remaining provisions continue where legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a general waiver. No part of these Terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship with you. Mandatory consumer law and express commitments for your order are not displaced by these general provisions. 15.
